eBook vs. Physical Copies vs. Online Shoppping

Hey!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Today, I wanted to discuss the benefits of having an ebook vs. a physical copy of a book.

Physical Copies

I love being able to go to a store and search through the shelves for the next read and skimming through a few pages in order to know if I'll select it or not. Also, the excitement I have from going to the register and checking out and as silly as it sounds, the particular smell a book has. I also love being able to highlights new words, nice quotes or even quotes that I'll use for my review and even writing notes on the side whenever I have a certain opinion or thought about what I just read. Another thing I enjoy is placing it on my shelf so that I can feel that sense of accomplishment when I see the books I've read already.

Online Shopping

I love websites such as Book Depository and Book Outlet, the prices are very affordable but the disadvantage is having to wait. I have an excitement when I find a book I don't have in their catalog but the anticipation of having to wait, I may even forget that I ordered it! However, it's nice to open a box with a lot of books in them! It's easier to keep adding items to the cart before check out.

eBook

The amazing advantage that we have with eBooks is that if feeds our addiction to purchase a book especially if its part of a series. Not too long ago, I read about the Crossfire series and I was so hooked that I purchased each book after I finished another one and even though, I don't have a physical version of it, it's delivered pretty quickly to my device and to use.

Overall, I wouldn't be able to decide, I've had a few experiences that I purchase the eBook and if I enjoy it, I purchase a physical copy for my shelf.

Which one do you prefer?
