TOP 10

Here is a list of my 10 favorite books!

01

Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher

The main reason why I enjoyed this book is its theme, not many people are brave enough to talk about teen suicide since it's a sensitive topic. I applaud Jay Asher for making insightful and intriguing. I hope the adaptation Netflix has with Selena Gomez as producer is just as good as the book.

02

Knight in Shining Suit - Jerilee Kaye

I love that the main character is Astrid like mine, my name is rare and I like seeing it often. The story was unique for me since I could relate to the character and her want and need to start over after her failed relationship.

03

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

For a while, my younger sister, Nicolle, began to tell me about this story and I was curious. I purchased the e-book, I couldn't stop reading at all, I was eager to fnish it. When I knew about the movie's release, I was hoping to see it in order to draw the differences between the book and the film. I was in Puerto Rico for a summer retreat and I had the opportunity to watch it with my uncle and Nicolle and I almost cried in the movie theater, it's an experience I will never forget.

04

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn

I had heard about this book and I was curious about the theme behind it. As I read, I wasn't sure what to expect, it seemed as if it was a usual husband kills wife becuase he isn't happy in his marriage scenario but it has a good twist. When the film was released, I wanted to know how accurate it'd be to the book and how the fans would react to it. Even after reading the book, I was left in awe with this story, truly something I never thought I'd read before.

05

If I Stay - Gayle Forman

This story is another that seemed unique to me and it was. Reading about a person's state of mind when they are in a coma and how they fight for their life is what made this intriguins for me. I'd hoped the film was just as good as the book but it wasn't in my view but I still enjoyed it.

06

Girl Online - Zoe Sugg

I had received an email from my Simon & Schuster newsletter when this book was released, I wasn't sure what to expect since it was written by a YouTuber, however, I gave it a chance. The story remined me a lot of myself and my time as a blogger and a woman involved in social media. It made me wish I was Penny!

07

Crossfire Series - Sylvia Day

One thing I liked reading about is how two damaged people can come together and love each other despite their pasts. At first glance, the story doesn't seem this way but Eva and Gideon Cross fall in love even with their flaws which is what I believe love is about.

08

Silent Wife - A.S.A Harrison

When I purchased this book, I thought I'd be similar to Gone Girl and it had been described that way but it was more twists and turns.

09

Hunger Games -Suzanne Collins

A story that will never be forgotten in my view. To think of a world that citizens kill each other for the enjoyment of the capitol. This book gives us a different view on life, love and what it is to fight a battle that may seem hard to win.

Where She Went - Gayle Forman

"Sequels suck!" Whoever said that was wrong, Forman's sequel to If I Stay was definitely what I expected it to be and much more. It was wonderful to see Adam and Mai reunite and be able to reflect on their relationship and why their significant other wasn't the one.
